Vietnam Golf Trophy completes its 3rd edition in Ho Chi Minh City

The 3rd edition of the Vietnam Golf Trophy Trophy came to a close with a glitzy prize dinner function at the palatial Tan Son Nhat Golf Club in Ho Chi Minh City. The event played over 3 rounds of golf had 72 participants participants from various countries that included Thailand, India, Australia, Wales, USA, Malaysia and Korea. Combined with stay in the heart of the buzzing Ho Chi Minh City and an exquisite river cruise with sumptuous dining and thrilling entertainment, the complete package was all or more than one could have asked for. The golf at Twin Doves, Long Thanh and Tan Son Nhat was nothing short of special, with several participants remarking that this was the best combination of golf courses they had played during a golf trip.
The competition was quite stiff with a tie breaker required for both the Individual Net and Gross Competitions. S. Venkatesh and Bharath Jagannathan from India were tied for the top place, but better points in the last round to S. Venkatesh allowed him to clinch both the titles. Significant performances also came from Watcharin Srisuk of Thailand, Adem Long of Australia and Jayant Tagore of India who bagged the course wise net prizes. Thunyasinth Nimitthrapharp of Thailand won the best Seniors prize while Rosalynn Masayavanich also from Thailand bagged the best Ladies Prize. In the non-handicap category, it was Pradit Sukontasawat of Thailand took the honors.
The Vietnam Golf Trophy continues to grow and attract the attention from leisure golfers from around the world. It will be back in its 4th edition next year at a location to be decided.
